Transparency Policy Regarding the Free Book Offer
In an effort to provide full transparency I'd like to address a concern some people have, particularly those who email us and ask “Mike, if this is really free… why are you asking me to pay for shipping & handling? Doesn’t that mean it’s not actually free?”
Personally, I consider getting this book into your hands the first step in a long-term relationship that I hope has multiple wins for you.
With that in mind I’d like to share why I pay out of my own pocket to buy this book from my book printer and send it to you.
I do lose money on every free book I give away, even when you cover the shipping & handling costs.
What some people do not appreciate is that to fulfill, store and ship a physical book it costs a lot more than just postage.
We do not print our books on-demand. We pay for a quantity of books to be printed in advance and we have stock ready to ship immediately around the world. As such there are various costs associated with being able to offer a printed book, including storage, handling and fulfilment.
Along with these expenses we also have to factor in administrative costs, team members to ensure that everything runs smoothly, the website domains and email services can run as normal along with accounting for items that get lost in the mail and other expenses to be able to make sure that you get this book on time, as expected.
As such, the U.S. and International shipping costs allow us to cover a lot of these direct costs but unfortunately not all of them.
If you get just the book we do not make money.
You're probably thinking, “How do you make money?”
When going through the checkout process you will be offered additional (optional) products. We estimate a percentage of people will take these options which then allows us to profit.
Please keep in mind, I have done my best to make this offer as value packed as possible. The combination of the printed book + bonus gifts value for outweighs what I am asking you to pay.
If this still bothers you after reading this, please remember taking advantage of this offer is completely at your own discretion.
Thank you.
